"The Joyous Sounds of Christmas" is the theme chosen for the 1998 Carthage Christmas parade scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 7.
The parade is sponsored by the Carthage Technical School Chapter of VICA and Main Street Carthage Inc.
Some downtown businesses will be open late to accommodate shoppers.
