The city of Branson is seeking a logo to put on its city flag, stationery and other city materials. The city's communications director, Jerry Adams, said citizens are being asked to submit ideas for the logo before Feb. 20.

The entries will be judged by a citizens' committee formed by the Branson Arts Council. A representative of the Branson Board of Aldermen and the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will also be on the committee. The logo, and its creator, will be unveiled in March.

Guidelines for the logo specify that the design must look good in either color or black-and-white, and it must be legible and attractive in small and large sizes. According to Adams, the logo should represent the city's heritage, environment and/or live entertainment, however, variations will be considered.
