Pellham-Phillips-Hagerman of Springfield has been named the architectural firm for the multimillion dollar Cirque du Monde Restaurant in Branson.
The restaurant will be a part of the Remington Theatre Complex on West Highway 76, according to owner and site developer Jim Thomas. Thomas is also an owner of the Lodge of the Ozarks Entertainment Complex, which includes the Roy Clark Celebrity Theatre.
The name of the restaurant translates as "Circus of the World." It will comprise 17,000 square feet and will seat 350 people. It is slated to open this fall. About the restaurant's theme, Thomas said, "The restaurant will have the flavor and flair of France with the atmosphere of a European circus without the animals."
Next door, at the Remington Theatre, the show "Branson City Lights" opened April 16 for its second season.
