Both Tony Orlando and Wayne Newton will open in their new Talk of the Town Theatre (formerly the Branson Showcase America and Glen Campbell Goodtime theater) on Highway 248 in Branson during April.
Orlando has scheduled his opening at 8 p.m. April 14. The cable network VH-1 will be there to film Orlando's performance as part of his biography, to be televised later in the year. That evening, the first 500 ticket-holders will receive an oak tree sapling tied with a yellow ribbon signed by Orlando.
Wayne Newton will return at 8 p.m. April 21 for his first show of the season. Newton also plans to give gifts to the first 500 ticket-holders at his show. Newton will perform 120 shows while Orlando plans to perform 250 shows in the 2,250-seat Branson theater through December.
According to publicist Dottie Maitland, the theater will also have a new Town Gift Shop, an Internet home page and an Internet online gift shop.
