Economic Development Association
(BREDA) has been gathering information to establish an economic data base for Stone and Taney counties.
Kevin Huddleston, executive director of BREDA, said the area survey covers 16 segments everything from geography and taxes to transportation and governmental incentive programs. He said more than 200 pages of information from Phase I of the project will be refined to a 40-page report, and eventually, to a portfolio/brochure.
Huddleston said, "We're establishing a stake in the ground to say this is where we are, and from the analysis, this is where we think we need to be going. It will show us what we lack and who can provide this."
Huddleston said a report of the results of the survey will be ready May 15.
