Skaggs Professional Home Care has added the service of care for expectant mothers and babies from birth to 2 months of age.
Women patients will be able to receive care by skilled nurses trained to deal with complications sometimes associated with pregnancy and the transitions associated with a new baby.
Care is available for the newborn, if needed, until 2 months of age. According to Sherry Vorhaben, director of
Skaggs Professional Home Care, "This type of perinatal program helps lessen the fears of expectant or new mothers needing some assistance in prenatal care of a baby who may require some specialized medical attention."
