White River Valley Electric Cooperative Inc. has assigned $535,240 in 1997 capital credits to it membership. The credits were recorded after the recent completion of the cooperative's annual financial audit.

According to the not-for-profit cooperative, the capital credits will be retained to be used as a source of capital in offsetting the cost of the utility's operations and improvements.
