Skaggs Community Health Center received a first-place award in a statewide marketing competition for a project titled, "The Big Burn," which was designed to educate and inform area residents about Skaggs' $20 million expansion project.
Tracey Barton, director of Skaggs' community relations department, accepted the Show-Me Excellence Award for the best public relations marketing project for a small-rural or sole community provider hospital. It was presented by the Missouri Association for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing at its convention Nov. 4-6 at the Lake of the Ozarks.
