One of two new branches of First Community Bank opened April 6 on Missouri Highway 86 south of Branson.
According to bank spokesperson Dot Holmes, the old community center at the Oakmont development near Big Cedar Lodge has been remodeled, and half of the space is being used for both drive-through and walk-in banking. Holmes said the bank also rented part of the building space to a church.
Completion of the new Forsyth branch of First Community Bank is expected by the first of July, said Jack Baker, executive vice president of that facility. Baker said the branch has been using temporary space next to the construction site since January. The 2,100-square-foot building will offer full services, including lending, new accounts, drive-through and lobby tellers, night deposits, an ATM and safe deposit boxes.
Baker said Oney Construction Co., of Branson, is the contractor for the office on Missouri Highway 160. He said the new branch will employ about seven people.
