A partnership of the 100,000-member Canadian Snowbird Association and Destined For Branson, a cooperative of 23 Branson businesses, was announced July 29 as a joint effort to promote Branson while offering CSA members special discounts.
According to Jane Gallaher, chair of Destined For Branson and manager of Jennifer's Americana Theatre, the partnership will help establish Branson as a major travel destination of CSA members.
"The amount of exposure Branson is going to receive as a result of this alliance is tremendous," Gallaher said in a news release.
The two major components of the alliance include a Passport To Savings booklet with money-saving offers mailed to the CSA members, plus extensive exposure of Destined For Branson businesses at each of five Snowbird Extravaganzas held each year.
The Extravaganzas, mature-market consumer shows produced by Medipac International, the benefit administrators for the CSA, will be held in Toronto, Tampa, Arizona, California and Texas, and will include a 300-seat Branson Video Theatre, highlighting what visitors can expect to see while in Branson. Branson entertainers Jennifer Wilson, The Platters and Ronnie Prophet are among the artists scheduled to perform live at the Extravaganzas.
