The new Branson Creek Golf Club is seeking members for its 18-hole course under construction at Grand Ridge, south of Branson. The Tom Fazio-designed course is expected to be complete in summer 1999, the club's general manager, Perry Leslie, said.
Leslie came to Branson Creek from Highland Springs Golf Course in Springfield, and is a coach for men's golf at Southwest Missouri State University. Leslie compared Branson Creek to Millwood in Springfield, offering semi-private daily fees, as well as a limited number of lifetime individual and corporate memberships.
The course is located at the old Tennessee Ernie Ford ranch east of U.S. Highway 65 and one mile south of U.S. Highway 165, part of acreage under development by Glen Patch of GEP Inc., Leslie said.
He said Patch is one of 14 investor-partners in Branson Creek Golf Club LLC, all of whom are also "very avid golfers" at The Quarry in LaQuinta, Calif., near Palm Desert. Bill Morrow, developer of The Quarry, is managing partner of Branson Creek, Leslie said.
Leslie said a second 18-hole course is in the planning stage. "The second course will be built depending on the success of the first one," he said.
