The president of White River Valley Electric Cooperative, George Simpson, has announced that Chris Hamon has been selected as the new chief executive officer and general manager for the electric utility. Hamon replaces Larry Frazier, who, after 23 years as CEO, will retire at the end of the year. Hamon will assume the new position Jan. 1, 1999.
Hamon has been with White River Valley Electric for 13 years, serving as chief engineer, manager of operations and engineering, and most recently as assistant manager. The cooperative provides electric service to parts of five counties: Stone, Taney, Ozark, Douglas and Christian.
