The Branson/Lakes Area Lodging Association has announced the election of its officers and board of directors for 1999. They are Mike Klanchar, of the Palace Inn, president; Scott Wuest, of Travelodge Forget-Me-Not, vice president; Jim Curtis, of Leisure Country Inn, second vice president; Paul Flanary, of Mountain Music Inn, treasurer, and Bonnie Keller, of Pointe Royale, secretary.
Other board members for 1999 are Kent Turner, of Indian Point Resort; Robert LaCore, of Box Car Willie Motels; Chris Myer, of Myer Hotels; Carolyn Holden, of Settle Inn; Jerry Lilley, of Lilley's Landing; Patricia Coen, of Expressway Inn; Mike Nangle, of Lodge of the Ozarks; David Hartman, of Days Inn; and Stephen Marshall, of Chateau on the Lake. Alternates are Duane Williams, of Travelodge Foxborough Inn, and Shari Thomas, of Hall of Fame Inn.
The next meeting of the Branson/Lakes Area Lodging Association will be at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9 at Dockers Restaurant in Branson.

A Springfield couple launched 24-hour fitness center Iron Knights Strafford; Springfield-based Meridian Title Co. LLC made its debut in Mount Vernon; and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in conjunction with the grand opening of Render Flooring LLC.
