Southwest Airlines is implementing a series of cost-cutting measures.
A memo viewed by CNBC indicated the company would pause corporate hiring and promotions, suspend most of its summer internships and call off some employee team-building events.
In the note, CEO Bob Jordan said, "Every single dollar matters as we continue to fight to return to excellent financial performance."
