Southwest Airlines reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.9 billion, a record for the company.
The boost was driven by a $1.4 billion benefit from U.S. tax reform changes.
"Our strong fourth quarter earnings performance capped another year of extraordinary achievements, including 45 straight years of profitability," said Gary Kelly, chairman and CEO of the airline.
