This project combines new facilities for Fire Station No. 6 with a new south-side police station. The structure is approximately 45,000 square feet, including the adaptive reuse of the existing 7,000-square-foot AutoZone building on the site and 14,000 square feet of basement storage and shell space for the Police Department. Mark Wolthuis is the project engineer. Engineering work includes HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, an emergency generator power system and a fuel station for Police and Fire Department vehicles.
