South Africa's president resigns

After facing pressure from his own party, South African President President Jacob Zuma has resigned.

Zuma, 75, had been facing calls by his ANC party to allow Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa to take over. Ramaphosa is the ANC's new leader.

In power since 2009, Zuma faces multiple allegations of corruption.
