Soupman of 'Seinfeld' Soup Nazi fame files for bankruptcy

A New York City food company made famous by "Seinfeld" filed for bankruptcy protection this week.

Soupman, which licenses the name and recipes of Al Yeganeh, the model for the gruff "Soup Nazi" character in the TV show, filed Chapter 11.

The company estimated assets between over $1 million and $10 million and debts ranging from more than $10 million to $50 million.
