Japanese electronics maker Sony Corp.'s music unit announced plans to buy a stake in Peanuts Holdings, the company behind Snoopy and Charlie Brown.
Sony Music Entertainment entered a deal to buy 49 percent of the 80 percent stake owned by DHX Media.
The family members of "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz will continue to own a 20 percent stake in the company.
