Fast-food chain Sonic announced yesterday it was notified of unusual activity regarding credit cards used at its drive-ins.
Cyber security blog KrebsOnSecurity indicated the activity could have led to millions of stolen credit and debit card numbers.
The blog claims the numbers may have been sold via underground exchanges.
