Companies including General Motors, Toyota Motor, Target Corp. and Macy’s Inc. plan to keep face mask policies in place in Texas, even as the state lifts the coronavirus safety rule.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott penned an executive order lifting all mask requirements statewide. The order also protects residents from jurisdiction for not wearing a face covering.
As of Monday, 35 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico had mandates in place requiring face masks to be worn in public.
