A California-based solar power company has selected Kansas City for its new sales and service center, and with it will create nearly 600 area jobs in coming years.
Sungevity Inc. is slated to hire 595 people in the next five years, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
"Kansas City's geographical location, depth of professional talent and inviting business climate make it the ideal location for our new sales and service center," Sungevity CEO Andrew Birch said in a release. "Our future Kansas City-based staff will enable us to extend our best-in-class solar service offering to more people in more places."
