A software developer has been found guilty by a jury in a case that alleges he sabotaged his former employer's computer systems.
Davis Lu, 55, allegedly installed a "kill switch" that would lock out software users if he was fired. Eaton Corp., with its U.S. headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, has said it incurred "hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses" when Lu was let go in September 2019. Defense attorneys put the cost closer to $5,000.
Lu's attorney said the case would be appealed.
