Japanese conglomerate SoftBank reached a deal to sell United Kingdom-based computer chip designer Arm Holdings to U.S. graphics card maker Nvidia.
The deal values Arm at $40 billion. Softbank bought it four years ago for $32 billion.
Arm's technology is used in smartphones and other devices.
