SoftBank Group founder and CEO Masayoshi Son stepped down from Alibaba’s board.
At the same time, Alibaba founder Jack Ma left SoftBank's board. Ma's departure was announced last month.
"SoftBank is our longest-tenured institutional shareholder, and we appreciate their continued support of our company and management team," an Alibaba spokesperson said.
