NBC's "Saturday Night Live" fired its new cast member just days after announcing his hiring.
Stand-up comic Shane Gillis was dumped from the show for using racial and homophobic slurs in a since-deleted video from 2018 on a YouTube channel called "Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast."
"SNL" returns Sept. 28 for its 45th season with host Woody Harrelson.
