Snapchat picks London as its international HQ

Snapchat is keeping with its trend of not living where other technology companies do.

Parent company Snap selected London for its international headquarters. Other major U.S. tech firms have picked the likes of Ireland and Luxembourg.

The company's U.S. headquarters is 300 miles south of Silicon Valley in Venice, California.

"The U.K. is where our advertising clients are, where more than 10 million daily Snapchatters are, and where we've already begun to hire talent," said Claire Valoti, general manager of Snap.
