Members of Ozarks Technical Community College’s Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Campus Policy committee on Aug. 1 blow out the candles on a cake celebrating five years of a smoke-free campus. Springfield physician Jim Blaine, center, noted during the event that on the average college campus, 20 percent of incoming students smoke and 30 percent of outgoing students smoke; he said the numbers at OTC are reversed.
