Smith & Wesson broke ground on its new headquarters in Blount County, Tennessee.
The 240-acre site will house the headquarters and manufacturing operations.
The groundbreaking comes weeks after the company announced it would move away from its longtime home in Springfield, Massachusetts, over gun laws there.
