Posted online
The Small Business Regulatory Fairness Board is asking small-business owners to come forward to discuss how state agency rules and regulations affect their operations.

The board will hold a public hearing 1–4 p.m. Sept. 13, in Room 500 of the Harry S. Truman Building, 301 W. High St. in Jefferson City. Oral and written testimony will be taken.

To testify at the hearing, participants must register by Sept. 1. Registration forms are available by visiting www.sbrfb.ded.

mo.gov, by calling (866) 719-1401 or by e-mailing SBRFB@ded.mo.gov.

Oral comments will be limited to 5 minutes per person. Walk-in testimony will be taken, if time allows.

Written testimony should be sent to Small Business Regulatory Fairness Board, Missouri Department of Economic Development, PO Box 118, Jefferson City, MO 65102, or e-mailed to SBRFB@ded.mo.gov, no later than Sept. 1.

The board was created in 2005 to look at the impact on small businesses when state regulations are created and enforced. Hearings are scheduled periodically in regions of the state where small-business comments originate. A hearing was held in Springfield last fall; three others have been held in St. Louis and Kansas City.
