SLU names next dean of business school

Saint Louis University has named Mark Higgins the next dean of its John Cook School of Business, effective Jan. 1.

Higgins comes to the school from the University of Rhode Island, where he has served since 2006 as dean of its business college, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

Higgins succeeds Scott Safranski, an associate professor of management who has served as interim dean since 2013. Ellen Harshman, now SLU’s interim vice president for academic affairs, preceded Safranski as dean of the business school.
