Prominent features of Stable No. 1, a 7,200-square-foot stable, include 14 large horse stalls with automatic waterers, a wash bay, hay and tack storage rooms, employee break room and facilities.
The interior is highlighted with heavy timber, open-framed roof and clerestory construction, complete with skylights and a cupola structure. Stall floors are asphalt; the main aisle is covered with rubber pavers accentuated at both ends with massive red oak doors and precast arched entrance elements. Exterior finishes are brick and Indiana Bed-ford limestone, massive fascias and pre-finished metal roofing.
