The Muscular Dystrophy Association is seeking volunteers to help with the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, airing Sept. 3-4 on about 200 stations nationwide, including Springfield's KOLR-TV, Channel 10. Volunteer activities include answering phones, coordinating food and drinks for telethon workers, helping with pre-telethon mailings, distributing posters to local businesses, transporting supplies, tallying pledge slips, videotaping and logging the show, etc. The telethon is also seeking business sponsors.
