U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt will host two recognition ceremonies for Korean War Veterans in September Sept. 23 in Joplin and Sept. 25 in Springfield. Blunt is seeking help from southwest Missourians to locate veterans who served during the war, from its outbreak June 25, 1950 to its end July 27, 1953. During the ceremony, veterans of the Korean War, or their families, will be honored individually and will be given official certificates commemorating their service.
