"A Time To Share," a community event for breast cancer awareness, will be held 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Plaster Student Union on the Southwest Missouri State University campus. The program is for anyone concerned about the disease patients, survivors, families, friends and the medical community. The program includes three main components: education, inspiration and information. Dee Dee Lennon Gass, a breast cancer survivor and one of the Lennon Sisters musical group, will be the keynote speaker. Seminar topics will include prevention and treatment of breast cancer, hormone replacement and clinical drug trials. Tickets to the event, which include seminars, continental breakfast, the luncheon and a fashion show, are $15 each. A silent auction also will be held throughout the event.
