The toy drive for the Crosslines Toy Store is now under way to benefit families in need. Donations of new toys are accepted through Dec. 13, and the Crosslines Toy Store will be set up at University Plaza Dec. 16. Parents "shop" the toy store, selecting three toys, a book and a knit item for each child. Families also are entered in drawings for large items such as bikes, wagons, stereos, etc. Approximately 600 volunteers will assist help parents make gift selections and wrap presents. Toys may be dropped off at Bank of America, Charlotte's Cards & Gifts, Citizens National Bank, Commerce Bank, the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, Firstar, Empire Bank, Liberty Bank, Metropolitan National Bank, Missouri State Bank & Trust, People's Bank of the Ozarks, Signature Bank, The Bank, State Bank of Southwest Missouri, UMB Bank of Springfield, Union Planters Bank and Village Bank.
