The Developmental Center of the Ozarks is seeking volunteers for its gift-wrap booth, now in its 25th year, at the Battlefield Mall. Last year approximately 300 volunteers wrapped more than 6,000 presents Dec. 1-24. Volunteers are needed to staff the booth in four-hour shifts. DCO offers training at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8:25 a.m. Dec. 1. Volunteers may call Pat, at 831-1545, to schedule shifts. According to Marci Bowling, development and public relations director for DCO, lots of businesses, churches and other service groups get together to volunteer for shifts. Gift wrapping at the booth, which is located in front of Sears, runs $3, $4 or $5 for most packages, with higher charges for larger gifts.
