A pre-Super Bowl Pizza Bowl 2001 party will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at Remington's, 1655 W. Republic Road, to raise money for the Ozarks Literacy Council. The ticket price covers all the pizza you can eat from area pizzerias and the chance to vote for your favorite pizza. The party includes music, live and silent auctions, and cash raffle tickets sold "by the length" of your arms, legs, height, etc. Auction items include an Alaskan adventure, a YMCA family membership, and a new, installed furnace, air conditioner or humidifier. All proceeds benefit literacy council programs that provide free tutoring for low-literate adults and families, and English-language tutoring for immigrants.
