A benefit to raise money for the Family Violence Center will be held April 6 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at Cox and Republic Roads. The sixth annual Down Home Country benefit again includes Darl Cameron and his Kickin' Kountry Dancers, line dance lessons and country dancing. The brainchild of the Women's Council of Realtors has raised $20,000, according to council member Alberta Reeves. The Mortgage Bankers of Southwest Missouri will help with a donation and volunteers. Pasta Express on Battlefield Road will cater the event. Entertainment also includes a bake sale, auctions and a duck pond. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Reeves said donations are welcome from businesses or individuals for the auctions until March 15.
