Skaggs Regional Medical Center is naming the entryway of its Center for Women's Health after a longtime Branson business couple.
Helen and Charles Winston, owners and operators of the Branson Mercantile Store from the mid-1950s through the late 1970s, donated $124,349 to the Skaggs Foundation from the estate of Helen Winston.
Charles Winston was a member of the Skaggs Board of Directors before he died in 1994. His wife died in September.
A plaque will hang in the entryway to the women's health center honoring the gift.
"Helen Winston included Skaggs Regional Medical Center in her estate planning, and we want to make sure her wishes are honored as well as recognized for years to come," Rodney Arnold, executive vice president of Skaggs Foundation, said in a news release. "The Winstons will always be a part of this hospital."[[In-content Ad]]
