Six Flags' offer to buy smaller rival Cedar Fair was rejected as inadequate, Reuters reports.
Six Flags had offered $4 billion in cash and stock for Cedar Fair in an effort to increase its theme park operations.
Sources said there's no indication Six Flags will counter with a sweetened offer.
