Leonard Cohen, whose songs fused religious imagery with themes of redemption and sexual desire, died yesterday. He was 82.
A memorial is planned in Los Angeles, where Cohen had lived for many years.
With songs such as "Hallelujah," Cohen made it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Order of Canada.
