Silver hits 11-month high

Silver prices yesterday rose 4.5 percent in trading, bringing prices for the precious metal to their highest level in 11 months.
 
Although an ounce of silver is worth less than its weight in gold – $17 compared to $1,254, respectively – the precious metal is up 22 percent in 2016 compared to gold at 18 percent.
 
Silver demand, typically driven by jewelry, investors and industrial manufacturers, is expected to pick up alongside China’s stabilizing economy, according to CNNMoney.
