Silver Dollar City named top light display by AOL

Silver Dollar City has been named No. 8 in AOL Travel's 10 Best Christmas Displays in the U.S. list.

The theme park's Old Time Christmas display that takes place annually, this year from Nov. 6-Dec. 30, features more than 4 million lights, a holiday light parade and a five-story musical and special effects Christmas tree, among other holiday features, according to its Web site.

AOL called the display a transformation of the theme park into a "dazzling holiday wonderland."

The list, which can be found here, also features Walt Disney World and Rockefeller Center. The No. 1 spot was given to Magical Nights of Lights out of Lake Lanier, Ga.
