Silicon Valley Bank, which was one of America’s 20 largest commercial banks, has collapsed.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has taken control after the bank became unable to pay back customers who withdrew their deposits.
The FDIC is acting as receiver, which typically means it will liquidate the bank's assets, according to CNN Business.
