College of the Ozarks’ Students in Free Enterprise team won first place in the March 30 SIFE USA Regional Competition in Rogers, Ark., and will advance to national competition May 6–8 in Dallas. The event was one of 17 SIFE USA regional competitions held in March and April. The COSIFE team organized 14 projects in the Branson community and one project in Africa. The Africa project, in partnership with the Torchbearer Foundation, created a business model for African entrepreneurs to follow. The team also improved the Computer Technology Institute in Nkambe, Cameroon, and taught villagers basic business and accounting concepts.
