The Show-Me State gas average fell 4 cents during the past week to $3.43 per gallon this morning.
According to GasBuddy.com, today's average represents prices that are 2 cents higher than a month ago but 9 cents lower than a year ago. The U.S. average was $3.64 per gallon this morning.
Missouri ranked No. 10 this morning on GasBuddy's list of the lowest gas prices in the nation. At $3.37 per gallon, Missouri's neighbor to the south, Arkansas, ranked No. 1 on the list. Bottoming out the list was Hawaii with an average of $4.37 per gallon.
In Missouri, the lowest price for gas this morning was available for $3.20 per gallon at two filling stations in Columbia and a station in Joplin. The highest price, $3.69 per gallon, was selling at a station in Grandview.
Springfieldians could pay a low price of $3.22 per gallon at Dillons, 1260 E. St. Louis St. Other prices ranged from $3.24 per gallon to $3.34 per gallon in the Queen City, according to MissouriGasPrices.com.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading at $102.66 per barrel as of 9:27 a.m.. Light sweet crude oil futures for July were trading at $103.89 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
