The Missouri Department of Revenue will hold its annual state sales tax holiday today through Sunday on school-related items. Qualifying items include shoes and clothing individually priced at less than $100, personal computers priced at $3,500 or less and other school supplies priced at less than $50.
Shoppers can save the 4.2 percent state tax, though local shoppers will still have to pay Greene County and Springfield taxes.
Also, participating retailers at Battlefield Mall are offering an additional 5 percent savings. A list of participating mall retailers is at www.battlefieldmall.com.
