Sherly Sandberg is stepping down as chief operating officer of Facebook parent company Meta Platforms Inc.
Sandberg plans to stay on the company's board. She'll be succeeded as COO by Javier Olivan, the company's chief growth officer.
Sandberg is credited with helping transform Facebook into a multibillion-dollar company.
