Shareholders approve Tesla acquisition of SolarCity

Shareholders at both companies yesterday approved Tesla's acquisition of SolarCity.

Tesla announced in June plans to buy the solar energy technology provider for $2.6 billion.

Tesla officials now expect the transaction to close “in the coming days.”
